It is a preliminary level of filtration to mechanically remove coarse and fine screening to prevent damage and clogging of downstream equipment and piping. The screen, is designed for screening of sewage entering the treatment plants, the filtration, or bar thickness, is chosen according to the type and quantity of material and considering the depurative process scheme adopted.
The machine is composed by a screen with a spacing which can vary from 3mm to 100 mm. The screenings are lifted, transported upwards and discharged using rakes, that are also suitable for cleaning the filtration area. Rakes are guided by rails placed at the bottom without any bearings/mechanical components submerged by the raw water.
