Open Channel
Fabricated Open Channel gates are generally used in open channel of water or sewage. These gates are fixed between two parallel walls used to isolate the flow to and from the open channel. These are light weight, economical as compared to Face Wall mounted Sluice gates. The important factor should consider during design is that, height of water in closed condition should be less than height of gates. Each gate is custom-designed as per project’s specific requirements including seating heads, type of closure arrangement, self contained type frame gate, rising stem or non-rising type stem etc. incorporating safety factors per AWWA C561/ BS7775 / Adroit Manufacturing standard. Likewise sluice gates, Leakages test is not applicable in these gates as these are 3 side sealing gates.
